Description
FOUNTAINS is a art soulslike action-RPG made by solo developer John Pywell and published by Crunching Koalas. It mixes combat with a big connected world that takes inspiration from the exploration style of Metroidvania games. The original PC version came out on December 20 2024. Then the Nintendo Switch version followed on September 17 2026.
The game puts you in the role of a stranger trying to break free from imprisonment. You explore an war-torn kingdom uncovering its hidden corners. Of splitting the journey into separate levels FOUNTAINS builds a living labyrinth. It’s full of secrets, new abilities, power-ups, enemies and hidden paths. Every corner feels like it leads somewhere. There’s always more to discover.
