Description
Defunct is a third-person adventure game that revolves around speed and momentum. You play as a damaged robot who falls from a cargo ship onto a post-human Earth that is filled with robots. The goal is to travel to the ship while moving through various environments and confronting challenges.
Of ordinary fighting Defunct centers mainly on movement, speed, exploration and platforming. The main mechanic of Defunct is the Gravitize engine, a feature that changes the gravity, around the robot and lets you build speed while traveling downhill.

Story
The story gives the reason for the adventure: the robot must get back, to its ship. Most of what you experience comes from the settings the robotic creatures around and the path it travels. There isn’t a lot of talking or dialogue to push the plot forward. Instead everything is shown through the world and the journey itself.
