FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is a soon‑to‑be‑released single‑player role‑playing game from SQUARE ENIX. I am excited to see how FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE will blend pixel‑art roots with modern HD‑2D graphics. The game also adds film‑style camera work and a turn‑based battle system. The Nintendo Switch edition of this game will appear on October 22 2026. As of September 4 the title is still not out. You can pre‑order it in supported regions. I hope the launch goes smoothly.
Importantly FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is not simply a remake of a numbered FINAL FANTASY. Instead it reshapes the opening plot of the game into a full console role‑playing game changing many details. SQUARE ENIX says that the game is far more, than a port; it has added and improved the mobile game’s content to give players a distinct console‑grade adventure. I think these changes will make the experience feel fresh.

Story
Final Fantasy Resonance has Rain and Lasswell two heroes from Grandshelt who go to the Earth Shrine to look into a problem. They meet Veritas of the Dark a fighter who breaks the Earth Crystal and attacks their world. After they survive Rain and Lasswell start a journey to protect the Crystals and stop Veritas. Along the way they find Fina, a girl who has no memory and has a special connection to the Crystals. Together they travel over the world while finding out the secrets, about Veritas, Finas past and the danger that is hurting their world.
