Story

Meiji Tokyo Renka Full Moon tells the story of Mei Ayatsuki, a high school girl who finds her world turned upside down during a night with a mysterious red full moon. When Mei meets a self‑called magician named Charlie she is unexpectedly sent back in time to Tokyo in the Meiji era. Lost in this new world Mei goes to the famous Rokumeikan and meets a group of fascinating men who are based on real historical figures: Mori Ougai, Hishida Syunso, Kawakami Otojiro, Izumi Kyoka, Fujita Goro, Koizumi Yakumo and Iwasaki Tosuke.

While she is with them Mei discovers that she has a gift as a Tamayori, which lets her see hidden supernatural beings called Mononoke. As Mei tries to understand her powers and find a way back to her own time she builds deep friendships with the people, around her. Her journey becomes a mix of mystery, imagination, tradition and heartfelt connections. Every choice she makes can shape her future. Mei may return to her world or find a new place where she fits in the past.
