Samurai Aces is a Japanese vertically scrolling shoot‑em‑up that first appeared in arcades in 1993. Psikyo created Samurai Game. It became the first shooting game the company ever released.Game set a standard with fast‑moving projectile patterns and a design that focused on arcade play. These features would later become hallmarks of Psikyo shooters.
Game mixes Japanese history with absurd fantasy. Samurai warriors, ninja‑style fighters, odd enemies, strange creatures and many other quirky designs are found throughout Samurai Aces.
